GWP Alert! Diptyque Figuier Travel Candle

Listen up ladies! A rather tempting treat just caught my eye whilst scrolling through my Twitter feed, what's more, it's from the best beauty-stocked shop that I'm a complete sucker for! As from today, spend £75 or more with Space NK instore or online and you'll receive a free travel size Diptyque Figuier candle worth £20 - just enter the promo code: CANDLE14 at the checkout (UK only I'm afraid!). Now this may seem a lot for your purse to part with in one go, but if you've got a wishlist as long as a limb like I have, it should at least encourage your urge to splurge!

Figuier has to be one of my favourite all-year-round Diptyque scents - it's fresh, fruity and lingers even when it's not alight. They're made from vegetable and parrafin waxes to ensure an even burn and a well-looked after wick can flicker for up to 30 hours in the mini version, plus it's cute little size makes it perfectly portable or even just gives you a taster if you're unsure about shelling out on the larger one.

It's only while stocks last  so whip out those wallets - I've got a feeling these will be flying out of the Space NK store cupboards quicker than you can sound that free-gift-with-purchase claxon - happy spending!

Perricone MD No Concealer Concealer

As with my face bases, I tend to steer clear of a cakey coverage under my eyes, saying that, my pesky bags are always a task to mask. Finding something which hydrated as well as hiding my circles well without looking like it was loaded-on was an even bigger quest, but finally my 'umms and ahhs' may have been answered - cue my latest concealer culprit...

Midweek Pick Me Up Pamper

Come midweek, I often wonder how I'll make it through till Friday, especially with little evening time to primp and preen, and in all honesty slapping on the tan or perfecting nail paints are the last thing I feel like doing at the end of a busy work day, so last night instead I managed to put together a quick fix pick-me-up which left me with that same 'ahhhh' feeling I get from my weekend beauty indulgences, less the lengthy pamper process...

The Beauty Tool Kit

With London Fashion Week related hashtags and backstage snaps clogging up my Twitter and Instagram feeds (not complaining, only jealous!), getting a sneak peek at the upcoming makeup trends and the tools used to apply, correct and perfect looks urged me to raid my drawers to put together an edit of the best brow tamers and shapers, skin smoothers and cult lash curlers around...

Hair Hero: 3 of the Best Dry Shampoos

Dry shampoo, probably one of the best inventions ever known to woman. I for one could not be without a can of the stuff, a quick blast through the roots soon refreshes my greasy tresses whilst adding volume and texture, giving me an excuse for yet another one of those skip-the-whole-hair-wash kinda days (hey, we all have 'em!).

January Favourites

January soon came and went but hey, if it's another month closer to Spring then I sure don't have anything to complain about! My yearly beauty favourites ended up replacing a round up of my December loves but the culprits have near enough remained the same, including an eye shadow palette I've been constantly picking up (and not really putting back down...) a  fresh and fruity-fragranced candle and my current face base of choice.

P.s Thanks for your feedback so far regarding orders from the London Fresh store, I plan to place an order soon, these are one of the best balms to have ever graced my lips - I'll take one of each please!

The Best of Lip Balms

I lose count of the number of balms lurking in the depths of my bag, that are crammed into desk drawers and which swamp my bedside table, it's safe to say my lips are never far from a trusty treatment, but there are a fair few which stand out from the stash for maintaining moisture, priming your pout and even adding a hint of tint...

The best of the bunch for me is Dr Lipp's Original Nipple Balm for Lips - it's thick, sticky and almighty tricky to squeeze out but when smeared on works wonders overnight, not to mention its multiple uses for cuticles, dry skin and split ends too. The 'cheap and cheerful' award goes to Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm. A quick slick of this makes it one of my out-and-about go-to lip products of choice thanks to its twist-up stick form. My other handbag friendly favourite is the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, I'm currently gliding on the Rose Tinted formula which gives lips a slight pinky gloss whilst moisturising long-time ensuring a cracked, chapped and flake free result (it's lemon sherbet-like scent never fails to go unnoticed either!).  Another night-time nourisher is Nuxe Reve De Miel as its more of a rich paste but has gritty exfoliating beads which melt when applied and with a matte finish it works well as a pre-lipstick primer.

Last up is the Korres Lip Butter in Guava, although any of their delicious scents will do to be honest! It gives a touch of natural tint alone or paired with your favourite lippy adds a slight sheen and tones down colour - they really do have a 'buttery' texture too. As far as polishing goes, the tasty LUSH lip scrubs do a pretty good job at giving rough skin a gentle buff and can just as easily be made at home - used a few times weekly leaves a smooth surface for lipstick application perfection.

I'd better get this bundle back to their allocated places... I can't be the only one here ;-)
