O.P.I Pirates of the Caribbean & giveaway info!

OPI have recently brought out a whole new collection in celebration of the new 'Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides' movie, which hit cinemas last week. With already over hundreds of colours to choose from out of the entire OPI range, I don't know how they manage to keep coming out with new shades, but they do!

With 7 different colours to choose from, you will be sure to find a little treasure in this collection! I picked up a couple from this one, these are the 3 that caught my eye instantly and were different to any other shades I already have..

The first colour I purchased was 'Stranger Tide' a very pale, sage green.

The second was 'Mermaids Tears' which is a pastel teal green, the perfect colour to wear this summer!

If you were lucky enough to get your manicured hands on the complete sell out 'black shatter' polish that came out with the limited edition Katy Perry collection, you will be excited to know it is now available in a silver glitter form, this also came out with the Pirates of the Caribbean collection, so I just had to get one of these! Although, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet..

As with most new collections, OPI also bring out a set of mini lacquers, containing 4 smaller size versions from that collection. This is brilliant if you just want a 'taster' of each colour without purchasing the full sizes. I also picked up one of these which I will be giving away as a prize when I reach 100 followers on my blog!

This miniture set contains 'Skull and Crossbones' a very light grey, 'Planks A Lot' an lavender purple, 'Sparrow Me The Drama' a pretty pink and 'Stranger Tides' as above, all in the cutest 3.75ml size bottles!

The 7th colour which I haven't yet mentioned is 'Steady as She Rose' a baby rose pink.

What are your thoughts? Remember, follow my blog to be in for the chance of winning the mini laquers set, the sooner I hit 100, the sooner I will announce the giveaway!

Pretty for Prom Makeup

For any girl who has their prom coming up, I hope this tutorial can be of some help! I think it's such a good idea to do your own makeup for prom, the money you could pay out to have it done professionally, you could spend on makeup to do yourself and you obviously get to keep all of the makeup afterwards! Bonus!

This look is so easy to achieve, I used all drug-store brand cosmetics, so it is extremely affordable! This is also a look that would suit anyone, it's very subtle and not too over the top, please see the video below if you'd like to know how to achieve the look!

Finished look!

Me at my prom in 2006!

If you have a prom coming up, I hope you have an amazing night! Remember to take lots of photo's, you'll want to look back on them!

Frangipani Comes In Handy!

One of my all time favourite skincare brands has to be Elemis and although I have worked in spa's during my career as a beautician so far, I have unfortunately never had the pleasure of working with their products, so instead, I use them at home! One little miracle in a bottle, which is always a re-discovered product of mine, is the 'Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt', even just it's name sounds devine!

This multi-use treatment remains a solid wax at room temperature, but when placed in warm water, melts into a silky oil and is immediately ready to use. The frangipani flower fragrances this oil and the scent is absolutely heavenly!

It is the perfect remedy for dry skin and can be used all over the body, but in particular, an intense nourishment for hands and feet. I personally enjoy using it as a 15 minute hair conditioning treatment, which can be washed out afterwards. The results from this leaves my hair feeling shiny, soft and manageable.

Elemis' packaging never fails to amaze me, it always looks and feels professional. Another product from the 'Exotics' range, is the Frangipani Monoi Shower Creme, which I am still yet to try, but after discovering this, I'm sure it won't be long until I do!

Initially £29.00 per bottle can seem an awful lot, but if used sparingly, a little goes a long way with this product and it's one you will not be disappointed with, I promise!
Let me know if you give it a try!

I'm loving.. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eye Shadows!

I haven't long been using Bobbi Brown products, but one of my favourite tried and tested little discoveries has to be the 'Long Wear Cream Eye Shadows' from the brand. At the moment, I only have two in my collection but there is vast colour range for these products and I will definitely be purchasing more!

The first cream eye shadow I bought was in the shade 'Velvet Plum', this is a gorgeous, shimmery bronze, which I believe was actually limited edition as it was part of a Christmas gift set and unfortunately, I can't seem to find it anywhere individually. However, I would say the shades 'Beach Bronze' and 'Burnished' would be the closest matches..

The second shade from the range that I got is 'Galaxy', a deep, shimmery silver, which I think would suit and look fantastic on anyone..

L-R: 'Velvet Plum', 'Galaxy'.

The colour intensity is amazing and the claim 'long wear' really does not disappoint. I can honestly say they last all day without smudging or creasing, they are also water resistant which is another bonus! I find they are best applied to a clean lid, using a finger gives more of a sheer effect or when applying with a cream eye shadow brush, you can create layers and build on the colour. I love the packaging from this brand, these little glass jars especially, it is so simple yet professional and you really feel you are getting the best quality from these products, no wonder they have won numerous awards!

Has anyone ever tried any of these? If so, are there any colours you can recommend from the range?
