JackyMac Mineral Makeup

When it comes to beauty, I believe 'au natural' is the way forward, this also goes for the ingredients in products I like to use. A few years ago, I was first introduced to mineral foundation which has now become a firm staple in my make up collection and I haven't looked back ever since!

One brand I have recently been familiarized with is 'JackyMac', handmade mineral make up made purely from crushed minerals and free from harsh chemicals, fillers and dyes. Instead, it contains zinc, an ingredient that helps the skin to breathe as well as having healing properties, rice powder helps to absorb excess oil and kaolin encourages the circulation.

L-R Foundation in Max Neutral #2, finishing powder untinted

JackyMac foundations are available in 3 different tones, cool, neutral and warm with 6 shades to each tone. An easy guide is available on the website, which helps to determine your tone and advises you on how to choose the correct foundation shade. However, if you can't decide on your shade, samples can be purchased for next to nothing as well as full size pots in 12g or 2.5g, both fitted with sifters to avoid any spillages!

Blushes and finishing powders are also sold on the site, again in a variety of shades and finishes. I have to say, I am very impressed with the foundation and finishing powder so far, the mineral make up is gentle enough to use on even the most sensitive of skins, yet still gives the perfect amount of coverage, leaving a natural, fresh finish without looking or feeling 'cakey'.

Mineral eye shadows are also available in 4 different finishes, satin, shimmer, metallic and matte, and in a huge range of colours which are sold in 2.5g pots but again can be purchased in handy sample packets to test. The eye shadows can even be used as colour for eye brows, blushers or added to your own lip-glosses and nail varnishes.

L-R Bubblegum, OohLaLa, Sunshine, Golden Suede

L-R Cranberry, Violet Vibe, Starfruit, Hazy

Used with a slightly wet brush, the mineral shadows also work really well as eye liners, a great way to change up your look! I love how easy the shadows are to apply, they are extremely blend-able and look totally effortless, perfect for an everyday look or even built up if you're going out for the evening!

All products mentioned are available on the JackyMac website!

Disclaimer: These products were kindly sent to me to try, however it was my own choice to review them. As always, my thoughts and opinions are honest.

Mulberry.. The closest I'll get!

'Obsessed' is an understatement when it comes to my feelings for handbags. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a proud owner of a Mulberry, admittedly, they are to die for! Once the Mulberry Alexa style, inspired by style icon Alexa Chung, was released, I knew that that was the one I needed in my life!

At £925, I could not justify so much money on one bag and I would just have to continue the dream.. Until, whilst on holiday, I spotted a complete replica of my ideal piece of arm candy! If you have seen the real thing, I'm sure you will agree it's not far off and quite difficult to tell if it truly is a real or a fake..

It still set me back £160, but at almost one-sixth of the actual price, I could just not say no! The the tan coloured buffalo leather material is amazing quality and definitely guaranteed to last a lifetime. The detailing, down to the finest point, is as close as it can get to the real thing.
As more of a 'satchel' style, it's very versatile, either used during the day, with the shoulder strap for a more casual look, or without, for a more sophisticated evening look. I'm pretty sure I'll never get bored of this handbag, I am very chuffed indeed!
