Elemis BIOTEC Skincare System Range at John Lewis

As a previous spa-therapist, Elemis is one brand that I'm all too familiar with and with every new and exciting launch comes an extension to my shopping list. Their latest, the BIOTEC range, is available at John Lewis and is made up of three products: the Skin Energising Cleanser, Skin Energising Day Cream and Skin Energising Night Cream. I'll be giving the said trio a real road test over the next month so all eyes peeled for my final thoughts to come, but until then, here's the need-know on all skin things BIOTEC...

Featuring as part of the May  Super Nature Beauty Edit curated by John Lewis focusing on skincare infusing innovation and plant-powdered products, the Biotec line uses a combination of minerals, electrolytes and a trio of acids to re-energise the complexion, increase skin cell energy for optimum skin function, all in all aiming for healthy, freshly revived looking skin. The system kicks off with the Skin Energising Cleanser - it's a gel texture and would step in as a morning cleanse for me, even though gel options aren't my go-to choice, I'm willing to give it a go since Oskia's gel-based cleanser won me over well and truly, but I've also heard nothing but good things. Giving the skin a deep clean without leaving things feeling tight, dry or stripped, it preps and balances by reducing surface oils, leaving the complexion energised and renewed. As the final step for a morning skincare routine, the Energising Day Cream comes into play - housed in a duo-tubed pump, one side a zinc and copper energiser complex, the other a lightweight cream, they blend together when dispensed to activate, with results again aiming to leave the skin smooth, beautiful and revitalised. For the last step in an evening routine, the third product from the range comes as the Energising Night Cream which features the same duo pump as its day-time cream counterpart. Enriched with calcium it boosts night-time nourishment, aims to limit water loss through the epidermis and strengthens the skins barrier meaning it's replenished and energised come your morning wake up alarm.

You can find the Elemis BIOTEC system both in store and on the online virtual shelves at JohnLewis.com, the line ranging from £39-£85. I'm looking forward to welcoming a few new members to my skincare routine to switch things up from the regulars, watch this space...
