The Best Beauty Advent Calendars 2015

I've got a feeling we'll all agree that the best part about parting from your duvet on a crisp morning, every morning in the run up to Christmas is the opening of an advent calendar. For years I woke up to a hidden chocolate pre-breakfast, but nowadays calendars come with all different shapes, forms and contents and for beauty lovers alike, the selection gets bigger, better and more brands jump aboard by the year - a mini-sized product to get me through to the day in question? Yes please. Not only have I edited down the best beauty advents of 2015, but they also just so happen to be five cruelty free offerings that come out tops on my wish list - feast your eyes...

Cheeky Nail Polish Advent Calendar - £49.00 - As little sister brand to well know cruelty-free Cowshed, Cheeky is an affordable range of makeup, nails, hair and body care. With a lacquer line that's vibrant, fun and all kinds of colourful, their Christmas advent hides a long-lasting, quick-drying, high shine polish behind every door for 24, delivering a little something festive for your nails each morning until the day itself.

LUSH The 12 Days of Christmas £49.95 - Whilst only half an advent, twelve of the most popular bath and body products make up the box, including bombs, creams, bars, lotions and melts - no spoilers as to which ones, but the contents can be found here if you're feeling impatient. If it wasn't for the fact that my tiny flat only has space for a shower, this would no doubt be my go-to calendar, no questions.

Ciate Mini Mani Month - £49.99 - For the last handful of years, Ciate have offered their Mini Mani Month advent calendar, an edit of 17 amazing mini paint pot shades from nude hues and blues to shimmers and glitters, then you have three tiny treatments, two nail toppers for a Christmassy accent finish, a mini glass file and a full size exclusive-to-the-set shade. I think it has to be my favourite of them all, a polish everyday of the week for more than three weeks in the cutest bottles, and then there's the London skyline print packaging -which lacquer lover wouldn't want to wake up to this every morning?

The Body Shop Beauty Advent Calendar - £60.00 - Housing a mini treat behind every door for 24, from bath and body bestsellers to makeup and skincare to latest launches, it's the perfect advent for any TBS fangirl, even more if you like to travel or for any newbie to the brand for a taste of what's to offer. I'm not going to spill on the contents, but if you want an idea as to what's behind the box, there's a list here. It's worth a total of £93.50 and the best part about it is with each one purchased, a family receives clean drinking water for a day - what better way to do a good deed?!

Charlotte Tilbury Book of Makeup Magic - £150.00 - Do advent calendars get any better than an actual book of makeup magic? As another twelve-piece drawer, each day reveals a luxe 15ml sample or full-sized CT treat from makeup to skincare  - the contents are all here and are yours to peek at if you can't resist the wait, but one thing that's worth spilling is the sample sized Magic Night Cream included that is still yet to be launched. For Tilbury makeup mavens, this is the ultimate present-to-self, or a luxury for a loved one - Christmas has come hella' early if you're lucky enough to be gifted this.

With the countdown to Christmas on, it's time to secure an advent at the ready - question is, which one will you be opening up this year? Me? I'm pondering a way to justify all five...
