Currently Loving Painting on HJ Manicure Polishes

Say hello to a new nail polish line that I too have recently only just been introduced to; HJ Manicure is a range created by Helen J, a trained manicurist and nail tech for celebs, who has also worked in many areas of the fashion industry. With her expertise, Helen created a cruelty free, vegan friendly and '5 free from' collection, meaning each polish is formulated without the use of harmful toxins which can be found in your regular lacquer inci list. I've been slicking on and showing off the shades just added to my stash - it's true love and I'm here to run through the rest of the hues, but be sure to read right on to the very end as there may be a little something in it for you too...

Twenty fashion-inspired shades make up the range, from wines to blues, to vamps and nudes, four of which were inspired by previous AW catwalks. I've been painting on two of the more natural hues, Lace, a creamy nude which sums up a mannequin manicure pretty perfectly and Caramel Latte, a name that speaks for itself as a milky coffee, toffee kind of colour. Completing the au-naturals is my favourite Peach Blossom, a soft pastel peach and Coco, a light chocolate brown. Adding a splash of colour is Thunder Storm, a lilac-taupe-grey, followed by three pinks in the way of Pink Bikini, a pretty pastel, Pink Champagne, a bright, shimmery rose and Candy Pink, a darker, berry number. For the rouge group there's Tropical Sunset, a rustier red, Strawberry Daiquiri, a classic pillar-box colour, Red Wine, a deep winter-perfect crimson, and Vamp, the darkest of them all, almost black. Lavender, comes as a pastel purple creme and Purple Paradise a beautiful, brighter version of the latter, then Alpine Green is a shimmer-laden emerald and on the blue side of things is Turquoise Sea, a vivid ocean-green, Blue Lagoon, a true, blue creme and Midnight Sky, a deep navy with shimmer. Lastly, Subzero, is a deep, stormy grey and as a murky brown laced with a golden sheen, Vintage Bronze is one with a bit of a difference.

Creamy, dreamy, they apply beautifully, streak-free, quick drying with a high-shine finish. Two coats does the trick with the duo I've been switching between and with the quality being this top-notch, I'd say the same would go for all of the above. In terms of longevity, my talons have gone chip free for a week - basically, they tick all the important polish detail boxes. At £9.50 each they sit in the middle price-wise, not cheap but at the same time won't tug too much on those purse strings - And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, I've teamed up with the lovely ladies at HJM to offer you 25% off your first order using the code JESSICA25, valid until 30th November to make a splurge all the more tempting...
