All Things Olive Scented?

My olive obsession might mean that my fridge is constantly stocked and panic levels run high if it's ever without, but who knew that my love for them would ever extend to my shower and the products in it? I am of course talking about The Body Shop's Olive range and I've been dipping my toes in with said shower gel as a first time taster. Since being so into their fruitier offerings for the spring and summer months, I wanted to give another smell a whirl now that it's cooling down and this seemed like a good autumn option...

I picked it up whilst whiffing between Pink Grapefruit and Mango, and intrigued, I had no idea what was going to come from it but I was at the till, bottle firmly in hand not long after - that's got to say something. I've been struggling to put my finger on a scent similarity, but let me tell you, it doesn't turn out to be as you'd expect, in fact far from it and nothing like olives. I could only describe it as something that falls into the unisex category, that if anything maybe even leans slightly towards the masculine side, but a lovely viewer who piped up on my recent haul mentioned a pine aroma and it's exactly that - I can now associate it with the natural fresh, green notes along the lines of resin, bark and tree needles. It's pretty amazing, but different and I'm stamping it with a 'try-before-you-buy' because it's not going to be to everyones tastes. As with all TBS shower gels, it works up a nice lather, leaves a delicate scent lingering on the skin and with the added bonus of organic, cold-pressed olive oil thrown in, it leaves things feeling super soft.

At £4.00 it can't be bad and what's more, The Body Shop currently have an up-to 50% off sale going on, meaning there are some serious bargains to be had, this number being one of them, I think I'll be going back for more all things olive scented. What a time to stock up those bathroom shelves - beat you to it?
