The Perfectors

Perfect(ing): adjective /ˈpəːfɪkt/ 1.) Make a complexion completely free from blemishes and defects for a flawless finish. That's right, note the running theme with the products that feature as part of today's post, just as I did when I was having a standard raid of my makeup drawers. This lot have a little something in common when it comes to a certain word which promises nothing but the good results we all buff in to achieve - meet 'The Perfectors'...

Dior have their perfecting bases down with both the Nude BB Creme, a glow giving veil that serves up an all-kinds-of-beautiful finish, it's lightweight and just seriously lovely stuff. Another Nude, but this time round, an under eye option, is their Perfecting Hydrating Concealer - nothing that's all too thick, it's in fact extremely light and moisturising but delivers a decent amount of coverage, that hides up even my dark circles whilst brightening the area for a seamless result.

I'm a bigger fan of the liquid form Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector as the Pressed Powder version comes  a little heavy on the shimmer side, mine's in shade Moonstone, but I've got to give it to it for its perfecting duties, especially when patted on all high points for a bit of an all-round brighten. This Works' perfecting option says it how it is on the tube - their Skin Miracle is a caramel coloured cream which buffs away leaving a bronzed hint of tint that too nourishes nicely with a healthy dose of hylauronic. With an entire Instant Light Perfecting range, Clarins bring it with the flawless faking, even when it comes to lips; their Lip Perfectors are non-gloopy glosses which slick on a whole lot of shine but also make the lips come across as smooth and juicy, and are a dream to wear (P.s I have 5/6 of the shades, can you tell it's love?). My current favourite lid prep is from the same line and goes by the name of the Eye Perfecting Base - it primes, it brightens and it makes your shadow 10 times better than its actual self in terms of longevity and a colour-boost. To top my base trio is Estee Lauder's Clear Difference Complexion Perfecting BB Cream which, not only conceals blemishes, but at the same time treats them for an all round, well, perfected complexion - they said it.

I don't know about you, but judging from the above, I seem to have a bit of a thing for anything with the 'P' word in its title...

  1. I need to try some Dior base products. I like the sound of the hydrating concealer because I find a lot are too drying for the under eye area xx

  9. I know it doesn't have the word 'perfector' in it but the Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow is hands the best product out there for getting you face perfect.
(and my love for those clarions balm/glosses knows no bounds.)
