Soap & Glory's Sticks of Glossy Goodness

Apologies on my part for this is one rave party that I am seriously late arriving to. Note to self: Listen to Lisa Eldridge when she's talking to you. I've heard nothing but good things where Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks are concerned, so just why it's taken years too long for me to settle my paws on them I really don't know. For more of a non-sheeny budget offering, I look to Revlon's ColorBurst Matte Balms, or their Kissable Balm Stains for a bit of a satin finish, but in terms of upping the glaze amp, I'm handing my 'Best of the Drugstore' award to these sticks of glossy goodness...

Let's talk about the winning factor here, the formula. Using their signature 'Ultimelt' and 'Gloss-Fix Finish' technology, the super sheer, lightweight and mega hydrating crayons sweep on to leave a trail of creamy colour with a whole lot of shine. A lip product to me ticks all the boxes when it wears comfortably, to the point of which I almost forget it was ever there in the first place, and lets just say all boxes are confidently ticked around these pencil parts - moisture levels are high and lip-balm like, meaning they don't cling to any dry flaky patches, all of this with the added bonus of a hint of coloured tint.

My most worn down shade is Bashful, (applied in this video) a pale and pretty everyday pink that goes with any eye look I'm sporting that day, be it smoky or subtle - it's just one of those 'in-handbag' products that you can throw in as you're heading out the door and apply on the go sans mirror. Packing a bit of a brighter punch is Fushia-Ristic - it looks a vibrant orange in the bullet, but glides on a much stand-out fuchsia, as the name would suggest. I'm putting this one on hold until the summer months when I'm sporting a bit of a natural bronze in my complexion, but for now, the other option that's I'm getting a whole lot of wear from is Raplumzel, as sported in the picture above. A typical 'me' stain for winter which applies a sheer shade of plum, a nice change besides my usual bolder berries - you know the ones...

  1. Yup, it's working 😊 I'm checking it on my mobile but it wouldn't load on my computer, how strange! Anyway, I wanted to say that the lip pencils look great 😄

  2. They are really great! I've got one of the nude ones and I'll be buying it when it runs out. But I must say that 'Ultimelt' and 'Gloss-Fix Finish' technology sounds like a lot of marketing gibberish talk (sorry!)
