John Lewis Autumn Fashion Magazine: My Top 5 Beauty Picks

With the releases of AW ranges piling in by the clothes heap load, John Lewis have published their online Autumn Fashion magazine, featuring not only staples for your wardrobe, but a seasonal beauty edit to go alongside it too. This time around, you can find the essentials to achieve this season's new mood; classic colour that's a taken a modern twist in the way of dusty blue shadow and low-shine red lips on healthy looking skin - and after virtually flicking my way straight there, I'm here to share my top five product picks from said edit...

To kick of a glowy complexion, Estee Lauder's Perfectionist Youth-infusing Makeup is where it's at; an extension to their Perfectionist range, Lauder's latest face base is infused with their Perfectionist Serum and is aimed at smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Lightweight in formula, velvety in texture, it serves up a coverage that's medium to even out the skin tone whilst imparting a healthy glow.

Pastel lids have been seen sported on this season's catwalk, followed by well groomed-through brows - cue Bobbi Brown's Natural Brow Shaper and Hair Touch Up. With five shades to choose from, there's a cream-gel formula for everyone and swept through not only defines and fills, but shapes them into place with a long lasting hold.

Lancome's Grandiose Mascara is the one to finish things off eye wise in lashings of black. With a curved wand stem, it's able to measure up to any eye shape, coating root to tip, fanning from corner to corner as it goes. The results? Even, open, fuller flutters.

Perking up those apples with a barely there flush is where Clarins' Cream Blush comes into play by bringing a subtle, natural colour to the face, transforming to a powder as it's blended. 'Rosewood' is an anyone-can-pull-it-off, dusky kinda pink that'll work with any makeup look, but 3 other cheeky hues complete the range if that doesn't float your boat.

Bold is beautiful, and though Clinique's Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balm come in a plethora of pinks and purples, red is this seasons shade to pick for your pout. Sitting somewhere between a balm and a gloss in formula, they nourish nicely whilst supplying a soft hint of coloured tint. Subtle sheens of ruby, cherry, satsuma red and tomato - Clinique's Two Ton Tomato fits the bill right there - are all shades set to brighten up this beauty mainstay.
