The Dupe for Hourglass' Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil?

I've lost count of how many products have graced my brows in the past week, let alone since my brow game got seriously strong - gels, pencils, tints and inks, you name them, they've enhanced them. The idea for this post was born when the pencil lid end of one of my newest choices was plucked off, initial thoughts reminded me all too much of Hourglass' double ended offering, not to mention the formula itself - eye framer lusters, wave hello to Pixi's Natural Brow Duo...

With a triangular nib for precision application, I thought Hourglass' Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil had this unique tip thing down but Pixi are hot on their brow tail with this and the twist-up, no-sharpener-required stick. Their similar powder-waxy combos glide on to define brows in a single simple step - short strokes using the flat face sculpts the fuller front for starters, then turning the tip side-on allows for the mimicking of natural looking, individual hairs to elongate the ends. The only obvious difference to note here is Hourglass' opposite top has your standard spooly, whereas Pixi's comes with an added tinted soft-hold gel bonus that not only polishes, but preens the most unruly strands into place - plus, the pencil part is waterproof, no word from Hourglass on this but both sit tight as long as each other day long. Available in 3 light to dark shades to suit all from each, I'm the lightest with the two - Blonde from Hourglass, Medium Brown with Pixi, and rolling in at £12.50, this lower-priced alternative turns out to be less than half the £28 that Hourglass' number totals. A definite dupe.

Now don't say I never give you anything good, as for all readers of this blog I have a handy little free delivery code tucked up my sleeve, and you know I love my free deliveries - but this isn't just free delivery - maybe wanting to up your Pixi stocks? or even try a little new something or two? Can I tempt you into free next day delivery? Well, with any £30 spend over on HQ Hair, be it all things Pixi or any other product/s, that's exactly what you'll get - just type in the code JESSNDD at the checkout - no exclusions, no nothin', but it does expire on 31st July. What'ya waiting for ladies?...

  2. I've never heard of this product but it sounds amazing! I've definitely been wanting to give the Hourglass one a try but it's a bit out of my budget. Too bad Pixi is hard to get a hold of where I live :(

  5. I bought the Pixi natural brow duo off the ASOS website a few months ago
and I totally agree it is a great dupe for the Hourglass brow sculpting
pencil! I love it! If anyone else is from Australia and has trouble
finding Pixi products I definitely recommend checking ASOS for it :)
