Five Beauty Highlights: Week #9

This past week via Instagram: @jessicabeautician

Spring wardrobe revamp. So it'd seem the fashion snaps have taken over my latest highlights roundup - it's pretty rare for a haul of mine to contain non-beauty related items, but it had been a while and the contents on my clothes hangers were looking a little dated. First up, I deem the Whistles Distressed Maysa Skinny Jeans the most-hard-to-track-down denims. Ever. Three emails and numerous phone calls later, I managed to get my mitts on the last pair in my size. Phewf. In recent years, my Mum has replaced my annual Easter egg with a Topshop gift card and this time round it went towards a flowy, 3-quarter length, trio toned tee, and to complete my just-in garments, I opted to update my tatty sandals that have survived the past six summers with a super snazzy pair from Kurt Geiger - I'm thinking to cobble together a spring wardrobe edit in video form, thoughts?

Airport attire. Basically all items from picture no.1 in action for a twenty hour travel. Each tick the boxes in terms of comfort and chic, even if the boy's genuinely serious comment came out a little something like: "I think those jeans have had it, Jess." #ShitMyBoyfriendSays. Plus, if you peek close enough, you'll get a glimpse of my new piece of arm candy. An updated 'What's in my Bag?' anyone?

Dior decisions.  My number one lipstick formula (Dior Addict, FYI) is now available in the liquid sort and I've never wanted the entire plethora of shades from any collection as I do this one. From peachy nudes to vibrant pinks, I swayed especially to the reddy orange hues and with Pandore and Wonderland cropping up most in the comments, it would seem you guys feel the same way too. Dreamy creamy and long lasting, going by the stains that remained on the back of my hand, Dior, you've only gone and done it again...

Obligatory airport purchase. With a seven hour wait pre-take off - yes really - surrounded by Zara, Kurt Geiger and Jo Malone on top of Duty Free's offerings, I didn't have a lot of hope. After a good snoop in my sleep deprived, feeling-spendy state, the choice came down to a cobalt blue KG clutch over the matching purse, but seeing as my 5-year-old card houser was held together by its final thread, I went for the more practical purchase.

'Out to stuff my face' face. Being back in the country of the tastiest food, I'll be up the table, napkin tucked in neck with knife and fork in hand if you need me. I keep things to the bare minimum makeup wise most of the time anyway but more so on holiday - this night, my base was thanks to Bourjois' CC Cream in Ivory, followed by a sweep of Hourglass' Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta, faux cheekbones from Kevin Aucoin's The Sculpting Powder, a lining of Urban Decay's golden shaded Baked, lashings of MUFE's Smokey Lash Mascara and a slick of Clarins' Lip Perfector. Let the face stuffing commence...
