Estee Lauder's Clear Difference Trio

There's a blemish banishing bandwagon currently making its way around the beauty world and Estee Lauder's skincare latest, the Clear Difference range*, is the next to hop aboard. Made up of a treatment trio, the collection is aimed at ladies who sometimes find themselves and their skin in a spot of bother *raises hand* - Me? I’d slot my skin in the ‘normal/combination’ category; leaning slightly towards the dry side of things with the odd pesky pimple (or three). With that said, let's see what we've got here...

When an under-the-skin red beacon-resembling mamma decides to rear its angry head, out comes the first in the Clear Difference line, the Targeted Blemish Treatment (£25). Housing a fast acting formula of salicylic acid and glucosamine to target the first signs of a flare up, I’ll roll a small amount on a cotton bud and dab it where spots have made unwelcome, unwanted appearances. Gentle enough to use twice a day and handbag friendly in size means it can be brought out for mid-day top-ups too. The results? A pimple that had quite happily perched itself on my chin had reduced dramatically within the space of 24 hours, true say. I’ve been following that with a light layer of the Advanced Blemish Serum (£45 30ml, £60 50ml) pre-moisturise to further treat problem areas whilst keeping things nicely nourished. The texture's silky and non-greasy, sinking right into the skin to leave a smooth, soft yet refreshed finish with its cooling combo of peppermint and eucalyptus. For the final step, and as my go-to face base of choice right now, I’ll go in with the Complexion Perfecting BB Creme (£33). Sun protection is sorted with an SPF of 35, and not only does it conceal blemishes with its colour correcting properties and pigments but it’ll work at clearing them at the same time. Three shades put together the selection - I found my perfect match with 'Light', it blends in seamlessly, keeps my skin hydrated but leaves behinds a healthy, radiant glow which hangs around well pretty much all day.

You can take a look at my mini clip for the John Lewis Beauty Hub here - keep your eyes peeled as the Clear Difference clan will be available from JL counters as of April 7th, then will hit shelves everywhere else from the 28th of the month. 1, 2, 3, blemishes be gone…
