My Pick of Space NK's Christmas Gifts

The moment Space NK's Christmas Gift Guide fell through the letterbox with an almighty floor slap, I had funny feeling that my list for Santa was gonna get a whole lot lengthier. A quick flick through suggested exactly that, and a further study encouraged the idea for this post. Some suggestions are tried, tested and highly recommended, others I can only imagine would make cracking gifts, so here are my top present picks from the catalogue to give to any gal in your life (or even just yourself)...

Aromatherapy Associate's offerings are luxe to say the least, but as a small stocking stuffer/tree trinket the Little Bell (£10) comes as the cutest. Inside is a Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil - a cap full or two enough to throw in the tub for the ultimate at-home spa-like experience, I'd say you'll get at least 8 baths from this tiny taster splashed sparingly. Now, if you're looking to spend a margin more, I'd go for their Ultimate Bath and Shower Collection (£50) which contains 9 of the sweet little samplers, all to help relax, de-stress, support and invigorate the senses.

The present packs that This Works put together are always wishlist worthy. I recommend the Deep Sleep Night Time (£22) which features the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and Sleep Balm. The spray is a bedside staple of mine, gracing my pillows every night before I doze, the balm usually making it with me on my travels, an in flight fave especially because it also doubles-up as a saviour for dry skin.

Of course I had to call a candle to the mix, and I'm all over Diptyque's Ecorce De Pin Candle (£45). Not only is the glass design to drool for, the scent sums up winter in a whiff with a mix of Pine and Hinoki, and hints of Galbanum, Cedar and Patchouli. Two other options make up the festive range, Encens des Indes and Orange Chaya, both sound super cosy too - take your pick - but if those don't take your fancy, go for one of the regular numbers. Heads up: Figuier is divine.

I can guarantee you'll gain mega brownie points from any blush lover by handing them the NARS One Night Stand Cheek Palette (£45) this year. As part of the Holiday 2013 collection, this limited edition, Space NK exclusive, Guy Bourdin collaboration holds one bronzer, one highlighter and four pinky powder blushes. Sit back, relax and wait for the squeal.

Anyone with a bit of a skincare bug would sure enough enjoy sampling Sarah Chapman's Daily Essentials (£49) - this was my early (and already opened) self Christmas present. Tucked in a travel pouch are tasters of her Ultimate Cleanse, Age Repair Serum, Dynamic Defence and Overnight Facial, with a cleansing mitt thrown in for good measure.

If Laura Mercier's Caviar Sticks are anything like the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow sort then I'd imagine the Luxe Caviar Stick Eye Colour Collection (£55) is going to be pretty fab. A full-size six-piece set of shimmering, smouldering best selling shades that'll wet any shadow wearers whistle, these crayons can be used to line, define, or be swept all over the lid to create something speedily smoky.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (£56) will more than likely be on most cosmetic cravers lists if it hasn't already made it to their collection. Not one, not two, but three pretty powders hide inside; two existing shades, one compact exclusive, they perfect, brighten and illuminate. Any gals dream is this, though just be prepared for that special person to do nothing else but sit and stare at it for the remainder of the day.

Lastly, and for those who are feeling super splurgey, there's the Zelens Holiday Glow Box (£245) *drool*. Contents include the Bio-Peel Resurfacing Facial Pads, a Transformer Instant Renewal Mask and the Z Recovery Intensive Repair Balm - three ingredients for a clear, glowy complexion recipe. I can only hope my boyfriend has headed over here for a read...

  2. I think I would die from happiness if I went inside a Space NK! It's weird, but there is a Space NK counter inside Bloomingdale's near my parents' house, but it's just not the same because the selection is so limited due to space. Love your picks, by the way! Haven't tried any of those before except for the Hourglass powders (though not the palette). :)
