The Best Moisturiser... Ever?

... A super-sized statement, I know, I know but I'm feelin' brave enough to make it. It's a rare occurrence a that product will wow me over so much I'm considering a repurchase before I've even reached the halfway mark, but with my latest skincare discovery in question, this could just be because it's a toughie to track down (or it could be that I've fallen for the stuff. HARD. And fully feel the need to bulk-up on a bunch of backups...)

The words 'when state side' came to mind around the buzz which Kate Somerville's Goat Milk Cream has created - there it sat at the top of my Sephora list and so in the basket it went, and boy am I chuffed it did. Lightweight, grease free and non-tacky, Goat Milk Cream is super speedy at absorbing into the skin and feels completely comfortable. The brand is nasty-free and natural based, this in particular 80% organic and it's spot on: Jojoba and Avocado to hydrate and condition, Aloe to soothe and Grape Seed Extract as an antioxidant, but Lactic Acid (found in milk, hence the name) is the key ingredient here, a skin soother which exfoliates whilst keeping pH levels balanced. Aimed at dry, sensitive or blemish-prone skin, GMC calms, reduces redness and nourishes nicely, and can be used day and night - I pop it on alone post-cleanse AM, and PM, post-cleanse, pre-serum. Scent wise? There's not really much of one, a generic cream hint if anything at all which doesn't hang about for long. Then there's the packaging. A push-down-to-dispense type pump. How fab is that? The product comes up through the centre in a single press that's enough to sweep across the face, and its hygienic air-tight container prevents product wastage, dunking in fingers and just generally keeps everything clean. Nifty. I like.

Panic mode soon set in when it hit home that getting my mitts on more of this was virtually impossible, a hop over to the states for a stock-up just a pipe dream. That was until, Caroline's post popped up, shouting from the skincare rooftops that KS now ships to the UK *breathes giant sigh of relief*. I'll say it. The hunt for my dream cream has finally been called off - and it will be a long time, if ever, I'll be ogling another pot...

  2. I'm not surprised you love it so much, Jessica! I went through my pot rather quickly, and it wasn't in my budget to spend that much on a moisturizer so often, so I had to switch to something else. But I loved it while it lasted! :)

    1. I have to say your review spurred me on to make this splurge Tiffany ;-) I agree, I think I'll be making a few cuts here and there to be able to repurchase another pot! x
