In for the Long Haul

Look out, that Muji pouch is about again - this time packed with heavily hydrating, snooze inducing products to get me through a long haul, night flight. A total of 12 hours travelling later, I've touched down in NYC, but with a good chunk of that time spent up in the clouds, what better way to pass the time than by bringing out a tray-table beauty ritual whilst glued to the latest film and scoffing actually alright plane food? Standard. Here's what happened up high...

For starters, I gave my skin a sweep over with a few Bioderma soaked cotton pads, popped seperately in plastic packets to keep 'em clean. That was left to settle before I patted on Lierac's Diopticalm Anti-fatigue Eye Balm and Mask under my peepers - this stuff cools and soothes, and tired, bulky eye bags seriously suck it up. On top of that went a generous smothering of Aromatherapy Associates Rose Hydrating Mask, housed in a small Muji pot. Clear, non-sticky and gel-like in consistency, it soon sinks in, keeps things nicely moist and can be left on overnight, so with fellow passengers none the wiser, my skin drank it up for the duration of the flight. I went to town with Dr Lipp's Original Nipple Balm for lips to prevent a dried-out, peeling pout and gave my cuticles a coating whilst I was at it - that  was followed by a hefty helping of Bliss' High Intensity Hand Cream. Treatments sorted, I swirled over my temples with the This Works Deep Sleep roller-ball to send me drifting off.

Before landing, I removed any mask remains with another quick Bioderma cleanse and applied a light layering of the This Works Perfect Look Skin Miracle for a complexion perk-up. Plump, souped-up hydrated skin and nice nap in the bag, I'm hoping I'll lay low of the jet lag - Now, will somebody please direct me to the nearest Sephora...

  4. When I'm on the plane, I just want to get to sleep and forget about how I'm likely to feel sick near the end of the ride. This is quite a reasonable routine though and it sounds so hydrating and lovely. Enjoy your stay in New York! I'm sure you'll be spending a little more than you'd like in Sephora for sure. ;)
