Anastasia Brow Wiz

I admit, brows were once a step I'd completely skip - although I'd keep them tamed with tweezing, anything in the way of shading, filling and elongating was always overlooked. I've since dabbled with powder palettes, tinted gels and fine-tipped felt pens but nothing comes close to my latest discovery to help frame my face...

For those who are as wary as me about walking out of the house wonky-browed, you can't get anything more foolproof than Anastasia's Brow Wiz. This wind up, retractable pencil complete with a nifty spoolie on the opposite end has a superfine nib helping to create and imitate fake fine hairs. The formula is smooth, creamy and far from waxy - tick, tick and tick! If I'm having a minimal makeup day, but still feel the need for a bit of filling-in, going over the gaps couldn't be easier, same goes for if you were wanting to build up the colour altogether. I use short, sharp upwards strokes in the direction of the hair growth, then give my brows a good brush through to rescue any random strays back into place and blend everything nicely. Colour wise - 'Ash Blonde' suits my fair features best but there's three other shades for darker blondes and brunettes, plus a deepest brown-black should soon be joining the selection too.

As well as an everyday essential, this will be the perfect pick for travelling as a tool and makeup touch-up all-in-one. I got my hands on it from Cult Beauty for £15.50 and for us UK based gals, it's the only place to get one. By the looks of things the packaging has had a recent revamp but it's safe to say it still does the same - beautified, brushed-through brows in several sweeps. Simples.

  1. Oh this looks so tempting! If I wasn't in love with my Shu Uemura Hard 9 Eyebrow Pencil (have you tried this?), I'd definitely wanna get my hands on this! xx
