Midweek Pick Me Up Pamper

Come midweek, I often wonder how I'll make it through till Friday, especially with little evening time to primp and preen, and in all honesty slapping on the tan or perfecting nail paints are the last thing I feel like doing at the end of a busy work day, so last night instead I managed to put together a quick fix pick-me-up which left me with that same 'ahhhh' feeling I get from my weekend beauty indulgences, less the lengthy pamper process...

Hair washing is usually an over-the-bath jobby at some point during the week, but in this case it was simply scraped up into a top-knot and tackled with trusty dry shampoo in the morning. I melted away the day's makeup with Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish, then just before hopping into the shower I tend to throw on a mask, and for some cleansing, brightening and soothing all-in-one action, I reached for the Good Things Five Minute Facial, applied with a spare foundation brush for a packed-on, controlled coating (and to avoid a grubby hairline!). I then patted on some Aromatherapy Associates Relax Deep Oil on arms and legs, together with the warm water, it locks in moisture and fills your bathroom with a fusion of scents. The gentle shower steam also helps open pores allowing my clay-based mask to do its thing, resulting in a full-on facial feeling within the space of a few minutes. Whilst in there, the This Works Deep Sleep Shower Gel was my product of choice - a lavender and camomile mix that went hand-in-hand with the AA oil *notes heavenly combo* and sets you up for a good nights kip. Then once I was out, I ran an Emma Hardie face cloth under hand-hot water at the sink and buffed away my face mask for a smooth removal as well as an easy exfoliation.

Before drifting off, the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray got spritzed over my pillows, Dr Lipp always gets dabbed on overnight for next-day pout perfection and hands got a slathering with Clarins Hand and Nail Cream - a mitt moisturising, nail strengthening treatment in one. Now I've got this sussed, it may just become a regular thing - let's face it, if a mini-midweek pamper can't get you through to the weekend, I'm not sure what will...
